Subsidy Projects

The Hunters for the Hungry program works with landowners to facilitate the donation of venison from managed land projects. If you have a Managed Lands Deer Permit (MLDP), Antlerless and Spike-buck Deer Control Permit (ADCP), or Trap, Transport, and Process Surplus White-tailed Deer Permit (TTP) through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and are interested in donating deer, call the number below. If you need assistance in paying processing fees for donated deer, complete an application and send it in.

You may qualify for funds to help with deer processing costs.
Priority for funds will be given to applications received before August 15.
Applications will be processed after this date depending on funds available.

Hunters for The Hungry

Hunters for the Hungry is a statewide wild game donation program that provides a healthy source of protein to Texans who need assistance obtaining well-balanced, nutritious meals.

Weatherization Program

TACAA operates utility-funded weatherization programs in Texas that supplement the federal Department of Energy and Health and Human Services weatherization efforts.

Hunger Relief Clearinghouse

The Texas Hunger Relief Clearinghouse is a centralized, comprehensive listing of Texas-specific websites relating to hunger issues, hunger relief, resources, funding opportunities, and research.

Training and Technical Assistance

TACAA provides training and technical assistance to Community Action Agencies and other Community Service Block Grant recipients in Texas.
