Go Direct Campaign
The U.S. Treasury Department is phasing out paper check payments and requiring federal benefit recipients to get their money electronically. Go Direct® is a public education campaign to inform Americans of the Treasury’s move to make all federal benefit payments electronic by March 1, 2013. People applying for benefits must choose an electronic payment option, while those currently receiving federal benefit checks must switch.
